Senecio radicans — String of Bananas — is exactly what the name promises. Small, curved, banana-shaped leaves strung along trailing stems that grow fast and hang long. It's one of the quickest trailers in the collection, which means a hanging basket that arrives looking good fills in to something dramatic within a few months.
Like its relative String of Pearls, it's a succulent — but it's significantly easier to keep alive. The banana shape means it retains water more efficiently and tolerates drying out between waterings without the drama String of Pearls is known for.
