Jade (Dwarf)

$8.00

Dwarf Jade — Crassula ovata 'Minor' — is the compact, slower-growing cousin of the common jade plant, and the one collectors actually get excited about. Same fleshy, rounded leaves on woody stems, but smaller, tidier, and with leaf tips that blush deep red when given enough sun. It stays compact without much intervention, which makes it a natural fit for windowsills, desks, and anyone who likes their plants to stay where they put them.

Like all jades, it's extraordinarily forgiving. Bright light, infrequent water, well-draining soil — that's the whole list. It stores water in its leaves, so the occasional missed watering is not a crisis. What it does not forgive is soggy roots, so don't let it sit in standing water.

'Minor' is less commonly found than standard Crassula ovata, and that's worth noting. If you've been looking for it, here it is.

Care at a glance:

  • Light: Bright indirect to full sun; red leaf tips intensify in direct sun

  • Water: Allow soil to dry completely between waterings

  • Soil: Well-draining cactus or succulent mix

  • Pet safety: Toxic to cats and dogs

  • Pot size: 3.25" nursery pot

Small batch. Grown in-house. Wrapped and ready to gift.
