Blue Chalk Sticks is one of the few plants where the common name actually describes what you're looking at. The leaves are cylindrical, finger-like, and a genuine powdery blue-grey — not blue-ish green, not silver. Blue. It's the kind of color that reads as unusual in a mixed arrangement and holds up on its own.
It's a low grower that spreads outward rather than up, making it good ground cover in a succulent container or a striking single specimen in a shallow dish. It's drought tolerant, handles poor soil well, and asks for very little beyond sunlight.
