CARE INSTRUCTIONS

LIGHT:  Peperomia scandens grows well in medium to bright indirect light. The all-green form is slightly more tolerant of lower light than variegated types. Avoid direct sun. In good light, this plant grows quickly and vigorously.
WATER:  Allow the top inch to inch-and-a-half of soil to dry between waterings. Like all peperomias, scandens stores water in its leaves and is susceptible to overwatering. When in doubt, wait an extra day or two before watering.
SOIL & POT:  Use a well-draining potting mix. Adding perlite prevents compaction and improves drainage. This plant looks beautiful in hanging baskets or placed on a shelf where its long trailing stems can cascade. Always use a pot with drainage holes.
SEASONAL TIPS:  Scandens is a vigorous grower in warm months — stems can reach several feet. Prune freely; cuttings root easily in water. Reduce watering in winter when growth naturally slows.

HOW THIS PLANT GROWS
Peperomia scandens has heart-shaped, fleshy leaves on long, trailing stems. The all-green form has a fresh, clean look that pairs well with any decor. It grows quickly in good conditions and produces trailing vines that can reach two feet or more.

GROW JOYFULLY
Scandens is a fast-growing, cheerful trailer that fills a hanging basket beautifully without demanding much in return. One of the most easygoing plants in the peperomia family.
