CARE INSTRUCTIONS

LIGHT:  Aeonium Kiwi thrives in full sun to bright partial shade. Outdoors, morning sun with afternoon shade is ideal in hot climates. Indoors, place in the brightest south- or west-facing window available. More light produces the most vivid tricolor leaf coloring — the creamy yellow center, green mid-zone, and pink-red tips are most pronounced in high light.
WATER:  Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Aeoniums follow a winter-growing, summer-dormant cycle — unlike most succulents. Water more freely in fall through spring when the plant is actively growing, and reduce to almost nothing in summer when the rosettes may close up and go dormant. This is normal and not a sign of distress.
SOIL & POT:  Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix. Adding coarse perlite or pumice improves drainage further. Always use a pot with drainage holes — sitting water causes rapid root rot. Terracotta is an excellent choice as it wicks excess moisture from the soil.
SEASONAL TIPS:  In summer heat, Aeonium Kiwi may go semi-dormant — rosettes close, growth slows, and lower leaves drop. Move to a slightly shadier spot and reduce watering. As temperatures cool in fall, the plant will re-open and resume active growth. In zones below 9, bring containers indoors before the first frost.

PROPAGATION
Aeonium Kiwi is easily propagated from stem cuttings. Cut a rosette with 2–3 inches of stem, allow it to dry for 24–48 hours, then set it on top of well-draining succulent mix. Do not bury deeply. Roots develop within a few weeks in warm conditions. Propagate in fall or spring during active growth, not in summer dormancy.

HOW THIS PLANT GROWS
Aeonium haworthii ‘Kiwi’ forms neat, geometric rosettes of fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves in a striking tricolor pattern: pale yellow-green centers, bright green mid-zones, and rosy-pink to red tips. It grows on branching woody stems and can reach 2–3 feet tall over time. In late winter or spring, mature rosettes may produce a conical cluster of small star-shaped flowers — after which that rosette dies, but side branches continue growing.

GROW JOYFULLY
Aeonium Kiwi is a plant that rewards patience and benign neglect. Let it rest in summer, water it generously in the cool months, and it will reward you with some of the most architectural and colorful rosettes in the succulent world.
